When a homeowner searches “plumber near me,” “furnace repair,” “roof repair,” or “tree removal,” Google usually shows a map with three businesses on it before any website. Those three get a huge share of the calls. Your Google Business Profile decides whether you’re one of them, and it’s often the first impression a customer gets of your company: your reviews, your photos, your hours, and whether you look busy and legit.
I’m Jeff, and I manage Google Business Profiles for plumbers, HVAC companies, roofers, and tree service companies across Metro Detroit and the rest of Michigan. I keep your profile complete, accurate, and active every week, and I show you exactly where you rank on Google Maps with a heatmap.
Google says its local results are based mainly on relevance, distance, and prominence. Relevance is how well your profile matches the search, so your categories, services, and description matter. Distance is how far you are from the searcher, which you can’t change. Prominence is how well-known you are, which includes your reviews and how many other websites mention and link to you. Google also states there’s no way to pay for a better local ranking. Anyone selling you a guaranteed #1 spot is selling something Google says doesn’t exist.
My job is to push hard on the two factors you can influence: relevance and prominence.
I go through every field on your profile: business name (as it really is, no keyword stuffing), description, hours, holiday hours, service area, phone, website link, and attributes. Complete and accurate info is one of the things Google says helps you show up.
Your primary category is one of the most important choices on the profile. I choose the best primary category for your main line of work and add secondary categories only for services you really offer.
I build a detailed services list, with descriptions, for each job you do (water heater replacement, AC repair, roof replacement, stump grinding, and so on), so your profile matches more of the specific searches homeowners make.
I publish posts to your profile every week: seasonal offers, recent jobs, tips, and announcements. An active profile tells customers you’re open and busy.
Real photos of your crew, trucks, and finished jobs build trust fast. You send them over, I add them on a regular schedule, and the profile keeps looking current.
I reply to your reviews, good and bad, in your voice, and I can set up an automated review request that goes out after each completed job through GoHighLevel. Steady new reviews are one of the strongest things you can do for your profile. One local service business I worked with grew from 110 to 474 Google reviews, and a home audio store grew from 15 to 135.
I keep your profile’s Q&A section accurate with real questions customers ask, answered with real information from your business.
You get alerts when something needs your attention, like a suggested edit from Google or a user, a new review that needs a reply, or a missing piece of information.
A heatmap shows where your business ranks for your key searches across a grid covering your service area. You’ll see where you’re strong, where you’re invisible, and how that changes month to month.

You add me as a manager on your profile. I fix categories, services, hours, description, and service area first, because those are the foundation.
Weekly posts start, photos go up, review replies get caught up, and the review request automation is switched on if you want it.
Each month you get a report with your heatmap, what I posted and changed, review growth, and what I’m working on next. You also get weekly updates on what was posted and changed.
Google Business Profile management is billed as a monthly service. There’s no ad spend involved, since your profile doesn’t cost anything to run on Google. I don’t publish dollar figures. Book a call for a quote, or read how my pricing works.
Your profile also powers Local Services Ads, which require a verified Business Profile, and it works alongside Google Ads. See everything on my services page.
I go through the parts of your profile that matter for showing up in the map pack and getting the call: your primary and secondary categories, your services list, business description, service area, hours, photos, weekly posts, the Q&A section, and replies to your reviews. I use management software to speed up the routine work and keep posts going out on schedule. Nothing goes on your profile that doesn’t describe your real business.
Yes. You get weekly updates on what was posted and changed, plus a monthly report with your heatmap rankings. If you’d like to approve changes before they go live, tell me and I’ll set it up that way.
A little. Send real job photos, keep asking happy customers for reviews (or let the automation do it), and tell me when your hours, services, or service area change.
It depends on your competition, your distance from searchers, your reviews compared with competitors, and how complete your profile was when we started. I won’t promise a ranking by a date. You’ll see your heatmap from day one and every change I make.
Yes. Each verified location is managed as its own profile. Every location has to be a real place that follows Google’s guidelines. Google’s guidelines say a rented mailing address you don’t operate from (a “virtual office”) isn’t eligible, and breaking the guidelines can get a profile suspended.
No. I do the profile work, and you get plain-English reports.
It depends on how you work. Google’s Business Profile guidelines say service-area businesses, the ones that go to the customer, should have one profile for their central office with a designated service area. You can show your address too only if that location is staffed and can take customers during your stated hours. I’ll set it up correctly for how your business actually runs.
Google can suspend profiles that break its guidelines. For example, its guidelines say adding unnecessary information to your business name could get the profile suspended. I’ll help figure out the cause, fix it, and walk you through Google’s reinstatement request with the right documents. The best protection is a profile that follows the rules from the start.
